1. Elaborate on your default icon.
Kat and I took Moose to the ER after he was attacked by a 7-foot cactus. During our six hour wait in the lobby, Kat and I got bored so I took out my handy-dandy liquid eyeliner and designed my eye to look like the Eye of Ra and take a picture of it.
2. What's your current relationship status?
very happily taken
( etc. )

... I figured I'd give a little update for today.
I got my hair cut today. Sean and I went to Fair Oaks (mainly because I went home last night with three lock cores to the stockroom doors after a 12-hour shift. Yay, inventory!) I went to Bubbles, since I had a good experience the last time I went (when I chopped off about a foot of hair last year.) The girl who cut my hair didn't seem to want to talk. Unless, of course, you count the sporadic plug of Bubbles merchandise. $12 shampoo? No thanks. Eyebrow wax? Nah, I can pluck my own; it's kinda like self-mutilation, only the outcome looks a little prettier. $120 straightener? I'll pass.
I tried to be nice to her, but I guess she either was having a crappy day or she just didn't care to deal with me today. The cut looks nice, so I gave her a good tip anyway. Looking back, I could've ventured out to
cutpaperheart 's Hair Cuttery. At least there I would've gotten a hair cut with a little less awkward silence.
Anyway, my trip into Bubbles was under 30 minutes, since we weren't chatting and there wasn't much hair to chop off. I met back up with Sean (who had been chilling by Starbucks reading Star Wars: The Force Unleashed while I sat in silence at Bubbles) and ran to CVS, where I grabbed a straightener for about $25.
After I got home, I decided to try out my "cheap" straightener. Turned out to be awesome. I've never had my hair this uniformly straight. I almost cried. $25 well spent. :D
Anyway, work's crazy. Apparently, during inventory, Security staff = Operations Manager's bitches. We found a lot of stuff in corners of the stockrooms that would've been overlooked though, so that's satisfying. Last I heard, my store had found the most stuff. Yay, my store!
The house is doing ok. All of the roomies, Sean, and I are sickly. Kat got hit the worst, but, fortunately, it's just a lot of coughing and sneezing. There has been no shortage of Dayquil or tissues as of yet. The pilot light on the stove top decided to crap out, so we've been avoiding using it. We have matches and stuff, but it's a bit of a hassle. However, it gives me more opportunity to use my griddle.
The heat's fixed though, so it's been nice and toasty in the house.
I'm becoming increasingly addicted to Cake Wrecks. I saw a fugly cupcake cake at Safeway and took a picture of it. I don't know if I'll actually send it in, but still, I'm sure the people who work at the grocery stores don't appreciate me stalking their bakeries.
Other than that, there isn't much to talk about. Hope everyone is doing well.

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 234.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next four to seven sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest [unless it's too troublesome to reach and is really heavy. Then go back to step 1].
Ros. If that I do not dream, or be not frantic, As I do trust I am not, then, dear uncle, never so much as in a thought unborn did I offend your highness.
Duke F. Thus do all traitors if their purgation did consist in words they are as innocent as grace itself. Let it suffice thee that I trust thee not.

I should be sleeping, but I wanted to update real quick.
Opening night of "As You Like It" by the PVI Players was tonight. It went well. I was recruited to be concession wench for the evening, which turned out well. Of course, I forgot that I was wearing a tank top that, when I bend weird, gives a fair amount of cleavage. Well, the show was taking donations. Got about $200 in 20s from the older guys who came in. :-p
Anyway, this weekend is packed; I open at work tomorrow so that I can be at PVI on time in the evening, followed by Rocky. I then work Sunday morning before the little shindig Kat's throwing for Steven and me that evening. I'm going to be dead by Monday.
In other news, Sean's awesome. ^_^

Update on the court thing: she didn't show for court, so that's been rescheduled.
Since I got out of court early yesterday, I went over and hung out with Sean and Mohawk as they played LEGO: Star Wars. Sean and I then went out to Frozen Dairy Bar and Boardwalk Pizza, which was excellent. :)
We then hit up Wal-Mart and got Stardust, Willow, and The Lost Boys. We watched the first two and fell asleep.
This morning, I took him home and met up with Melissa to go get wedding/bridesmaids/flower girl dresses up in Bumfuck, MD. It was fun. We hit up a Discount Liquor Store, where Melissa got Root Beer Schnapps, Mead, and some Mike's Hard lemonade for cheap. We then went to a Chinese food dive across the street. The portions were phenomenal for $8. On the drive home, we stopped at a new age shop in Berkeley Springs, WV and the Farmer's Market outside Winchester. I saw a pic-a-nic basket there that really tickled my fancy. I want to go back in the not-so-distant future to get stuff from there. :)
But yeah, home now. Reading and stuff. Last couple of days have been nice.

Another day, another morning waking up to the sound of Gibbons crying outside Kat's door, which is right next to mine. This morning, I decided to do something besides pushing Gibbons with my foot a few feet down the hallway; I picked him up, cuddled with him, fed him, cuddled with him some more, and let him chill in my room. He actually shut up for a change. He even curled up onto the foot of my bed (read: futon) and fell asleep.

Here he is, atop my pile of comforters. It's actually really cute. Gibbons IS really cute -- when he's quiet...
Anyway, I have my first court date today for a shoplifting case. I'm excited. I get to meet up with the arresting officer and we're gonna carpool to the Courthouse. She has a record, so she's pretty much screwed. But still, wish me luck, guys!

I got into my first car accident today. Sean and I were driving the back roads by my house to get gas before driving out to Woodbridge to visit Gabi and Lisa, and I was moving after a stop sign and this guy I didn't see (and apparently didn't see me) ran into me. So yeah, my car's out of commission. Fortunately, Gabi and Lisa came out to help grab my Rocky stuff out of my trunk so that I'd have access to it. But yeah, I ended up having the dude tow my car to my house, and so I had to pay out-of-pocket since my warranty only covers delivery to a dealership.
I have a way in to work tomorrow, but getting home and work Saturday should be interesting.
Fortunately, my insurance has rental coverage, but I have to wait on the estimate before I can get that.

I went to the Chevy dealership down the street to check out my car today. They have to replace the shifter. They can get the part in first thing tomorrow morning, so I have to be there by 7:30 to get it fixed before I have work. Best part is: my warranty is still good so it's covered.
